Getting Back into Routine – Back to School Books

For many kids around the country, school break is coming to a close and school is just around the corner.  This is a time when it is important to begin winding down on staying up late and having summer fun and get back into the school-routine.  Starting this a few weeks before school starts will allow your children the time to adjust and be prepared for the first few days of the academic year.

One of the ways that you can get them prepared is by incorporating reading into your daily back-to-school routine.  This can be done as an activity to refresh skills, get them excited about learning, and nudge them back into the school mindset.  Brain Quest card sets are a fun way to get kids back into the learning role while still being an engaging and fun activity.  The game quizzes them based upon topics that they should know for their age range.  You can buy general sets by age or specific sets on reading, math, or history.  They also offer workbooks to help your child practice as well.

What does your back-to-school routine look like?  Check back later this week for more book selections on the theme of “back-to-school”.
